Important Safety and Airline Information

Plane Pal is designed to support your child’s legs and feet only. Never allow your child to rest their head on the device.

Your child’s seatbelt must remain fastened and operate normally while Plane Pal is in use. Always follow the cabin crew’s instructions and pack the device away whenever required, including during take-off, landing and whenever the seatbelt sign is illuminated.

On airlines that permit it, Plane Pal may be turned lengthways for use in selected bulkhead seats. Qantas does not permit Plane Pal in bulkhead or exit rows.

Plane Pal is listed for use on more than 60 airlines, including Qantas, Virgin Australia, Singapore Airlines and Etihad, subject to each airline’s current conditions and eligible-seat requirements.

Airline policies can change, so always check with the operating airline before purchasing and again before travelling.

Qantas Travel Update: Manual Inflation Required

Plane Pal can now be used on Qantas flights in Economy and Premium Economy, provided it meets Qantas’s inflatable comfort-device requirements.

When flying with Qantas:

• Plane Pal must be inflated manually using the black-and-clear manual valve.
• The built-in battery-powered pump must not be used onboard.
• It may only be used in eligible seats and never in emergency exit or bulkhead rows.
• It must fit completely within the footwell without affecting your child’s seatbelt.
• It must not interfere with another passenger’s seat, tray table, entertainment screen, legroom or access.
• Your child’s seatbelt must continue to fasten, unfasten and tighten normally.
• Plane Pal must be packed away whenever the seatbelt sign is illuminated.

Eligible seats vary depending on the aircraft. Always check Qantas’s latest guidelines for your flight before travelling.

Please note: Jetstar currently prohibits inflatable cubes and cushions placed between aircraft seats.
