Powered by Hema Nav

At the heart of the HR-1 Nav is Hema’s advanced Hema Nav software platform, purpose built to guide users from city streets to Australia’s most remote tracks. Driven by the award-winning Hema 3D Explorer Map, the HR-1 Nav provides a fast, detailed and multidimensional offline mapping experience. On road, users benefit from customisable turn by turn voice navigation, while offroad guidance seamlessly transitions drivers into remote navigation mode for touring and adventure travel.

Far beyond conventional road navigation, the Hema 3D Explorer Map provides extensive 4WD track coverage enriched with track difficulty ratings, vehicle access information, seasonal closure alerts and critical track notes designed to support safer and more informed travel throughout remote Australia.

Hema Maps integrity

The integrity of this mapping is reinforced through ongoing ground truthing conducted by the Hema Map Patrol Vehicles and Alpha teams, who actively travel, verify and record changing track conditions across the country. These real-world insights are continuously fed back into the mapping platform through regular updates, ensuring users benefit from trusted, field validated information rather than relying solely on unverified crowd sourced data. From daily commuting to remote touring, the HR-1 Nav is built to confidently guide every journey.

Purpose Built for Extreme Vehicle Conditions

The HR-1 Nav has been specifically engineered for in-vehicle use without relying on an internal lithium battery. Unlike many portable consumer devices that can experience battery degradation, overheating or unexpected shutdowns in extreme cabin temperatures, the HR-1 Nav is designed to operate reliably in harsh Australian conditions. By removing the internal battery entirely, the HR-1 Nav also eliminates the potential risks associated with thermal runaway and heat related battery swelling, providing greater long-term durability, stability and peace of mind for everyday driving and remote touring. This purpose-built design makes it ideally suited for 4WDs, touring vehicles and drivers who demand dependable performance in challenging environments. For stand-alone use, just connect to a USB-C power supply.

Smart Connectivity for Everyday Driving

The HR-1 Nav features wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto integration, allowing drivers to safely access apps, calls, messages and music directly through the vibrant 7-inch IPS touchscreen display. Built to simplify everyday driving while enhancing touring capability, the HR-1 Nav delivers seamless connectivity both on and off the road.

Integrated Front and Rear Dash Cameras

Integrated Full HD 1080p front and rear dash cameras provide added security and peace of mind while travelling. Capture driving incidents and road conditions with continuous recording while benefiting from enhanced reversing visibility and built in parking guidelines.
